I have a weakness for fragrances that feel effortless rather than overly polished. On busy mornings, I often reach for a mist instead of a traditional perfume because it feels lighter and easier to wear throughout the day.

These three are very different, but they all have that relaxed quality I love. I can spray them on my skin, hair or clothes without feeling as though I have committed to something too intense.

Clean Rose All Day

CLEAN Rose All Day Hair & Body Perfume Mist is the one I choose when I want something fresh, feminine and uncomplicated. The rose character is noticeable, but it does not feel heavy or old-fashioned to me. Instead, I get a soft floral impression that works beautifully during the daytime. Because it is a mist, I can apply it quite generously and refresh it whenever I want. I especially like spraying a little through my hair because the scent moves subtly as I do. It is the kind of fragrance I can wear with almost anything, from jeans and a white shirt to a summer dress.

Ouai Melrose Place

OUAI Melrose Place Fragrance Mist feels brighter and a little more polished. It has a floral personality with a fresh, clean quality that makes me think of freshly washed hair and getting ready for a day out. I usually reach for this when I want my fragrance to feel noticeable but still easygoing. A few sprays are enough for everyday wear, although I sometimes add another layer later in the afternoon. I also love how simple the bottle looks on my dressing table. Out of the three, this is the one I would probably choose most often for brunches, shopping days or casual evenings.

By Rosie Jane White Tee Body + Hair Perfume Mist is my comfort scent. It has that clean-clothes feeling I associate with a fresh white T-shirt straight from the laundry. The fragrance stays soft and close rather than filling the whole room, which is exactly why I enjoy it. I like wearing it on quiet days when I still want to smell put together without wearing an obvious perfume. It is simple, cosy and incredibly easy to layer with other scents.

I keep coming back to these mists because none of them feels demanding. They are easy, personal and perfect for those days when I simply want to smell fresh.
