PDRN has become one of the biggest ingredients in Korean skincare, but seeing it on the label does not automatically make every product worth buying. Some formulas combine PDRN with ingredients that make a noticeable difference to hydration and comfort, while others feel far less convincing for the price.

Here are three popular PDRN ranges I would approach very differently.

Anua: Cream vs Serum

If I were choosing only one product from this pair, I would save the extra skincare step and take the cream. It combines PDRN with hyaluronic acid in a moisturising formula that leaves skin feeling comfortably hydrated and gives that fresh, dewy finish many people are actually looking for when buying into the PDRN trend.

The serum is not a bad formula — and European shoppers clearly like it, with a 4.7/5 rating at Sephora Germany — but at roughly €32 it feels less essential when the cream already covers the hydration side so well.

Numbuzin: Toner Wins

Numbuzin No.9 NАD+ PDRN Glow Boosting Toner — around €16

Numbuzin No.2 Rose PDRN Collagen 2X Plumping Serum — around €16–21

The No.9 toner is the standout for me. Its watery texture makes it an easy layering product when skin feels dehydrated, while the formula brings together PDRN, NАD+ and peptides. It is the sort of toner that can make a routine feel more substantial without adding another heavy layer. European pricing is also surprisingly reasonable, currently sitting around €15–20 depending on the retailer.

The pink No.2 serum is more focused on firming and plumping, combining rose, PDRN, collagen and peptides. It is perfectly respectable, but if your main concern is dehydration and fine lines, I would still put my money towards the toner first.

VT: The Strongest Duo

VT PDRN Capsule Cream 100 — around €30

VT PDRN Essence 100 — around €26

This is the pair where I would genuinely consider buying both. The Essence 100 uses ginseng-derived plant PDRN alongside ingredients aimed at hydration and barrier support, including ceramides. Its light texture makes it particularly appealing for dry or sensitive skin that dislikes thick serums.

Then comes the Capsule Cream 100, which combines 100,000 ppm of plant-derived PDRN with multiple forms of hyaluronic acid, alongside ingredients such as niacinamide, panthenol and squalane. The gel-cream texture is designed to hydrate without leaving a greasy layer, making it a surprisingly practical final step rather than just another trendy PDRN product.

If I wanted just one product, I would start with the Numbuzin toner for an affordable hydration boost. For a complete PDRN-focused routine, however, the VT essence-and-cream combination feels the most convincing. Anua sits somewhere in between: I like the cream, but I would happily skip the extra serum and keep the routine simpler.
