Mascara Battle Time!

Great Day, Lykkers! I swear my lashes have a mind of their own. No matter how much time I spend curling them, they always seem to fall flat a few hours later. And don't even get me started on mascara smudging—my oily eyelids make it feel like a constant battle. I've been searching for a mascara that can actually hold a curl without turning into a mess by the end of the day.
Here's how they performed on my very stubborn lashes.
1. Rare Beauty Perfect Strokes Universal Volumizing Mascara
When I first apply this mascara, I genuinely love how my lashes look. It gives me noticeable volume, adds some drama, and makes my lashes appear fuller almost instantly. Right after curling my lashes and applying it, everything looks exactly how I want it to. The problem starts a few hours later. Because my eyelids tend to get oily throughout the day, my lashes slowly begin losing their curl. By the afternoon, they're usually much flatter than when I started. I've also experienced smudging more than once, especially on warmer days.
2. Lawless The One & Done Volumizing Mascara
This is still fairly new in my routine, but my first impression was surprisingly good. I wore it for an entire day, and I intentionally paid attention to how my lashes looked as the hours passed. Usually, that's when things start going downhill for me—but this time, the curl actually stayed put. I even had hot soup, spent time walking around outside, and dealt with warm weather, which is usually a recipe for smudged mascara. Somehow, it held up much better than I expected.
Right now, Rare Beauty is still winning when it comes to immediate volume and lash impact. Every time I apply it, my lashes look amazing for the first few hours. But when it comes to lasting power, Lawless is currently pulling ahead. Keeping my curl intact all day is honestly more important to me than having extra volume if that volume disappears later anyway.
