Welcome Friends! I genuinely didn’t understand why people were obsessed with double cleansing until I started doing it consistently myself.
I used to think one cleanser was enough… until I realized leftover makeup, sunscreen, and oil were probably sitting on my skin way longer than they should’ve been.
After testing different products for years, this is the routine I always come back to because it leaves my skin feeling properly clean without that tight over-washed feeling afterward.

Step 1: Melt Everything Off

Price: Around $13
The Inkey List Oat Cleansing Balm has been part of my routine for over four years now, which honestly says a lot because I get bored of skincare products very easily. The texture starts off thick and balm-like, but once it warms up between the fingers, it melts down beautifully and starts breaking apart makeup, sunscreen, and excess oil almost instantly.
What I really love is how gentle it feels around the eyes. Some makeup removers leave my eyes blurry or irritated afterward, but this one stays comfortable while still removing stubborn mascara surprisingly well.

Step 2: Deep Clean Without Stripping

Price: Around $28
After rinsing off the cleansing balm, I follow with the Dr. Jart+ Pore Remedy Renewing Foam Cleanser to fully clean the skin. What I appreciate most is that it gives a deep-clean feeling without making my skin feel dry or uncomfortable. Some foam cleansers can feel too harsh after double cleansing, but this one still leaves my skin balanced and soft.
I think the reason this routine stayed in my life for so many years is because it feels simple but reliable. The cleansing balm melts everything down gently, while the foam cleanser finishes the job without overwhelming my skin. Together, they leave my skin feeling clean, comfortable, and ready for the rest of my skincare.
